Trouble installing purchased theme.

  I just purchased the standard theme and am trying to install it into my blog. According to wordpress directions, I follow these instructions:

  1. Log in to the WordPress Administration Panel.
  2. Select the Appearance panel, then Themes.
  3. Select Install Themes
  4. Use the sub-menu or the Search or Filter options to locate a Theme you would like to use.
  Click on the Preview link to preview the Theme or the Install link to upload the Theme to your blog.
  5. Use the Upload link in the top sub-menu to upload a zipped copy of a Theme that you have previously downloaded to your machine.

  I get to step 3 and can’t find a where to “install theme”.

  I’m sorry, but themes can’t be uploaded to WordPress.com. That’s a feature of self-hosted blogs through WordPress.org.

  In this case, I recommend asking the vendor that you purchased the theme from for a refund.

  For your WordPress.com blog, you can purchase and activate the Standard theme from http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/standard/
