Trouble Leaving Comments

Over the past couple of days I’ve been unable to leave comments on some blogs – when I post them they just disappear. I can still like the posts, just not comment on them and I know I haven’t been blocked by any of the bloggers. I have contacted each of them to let them know as well. Can you please help, as they are blogs with whom I have regular interaction. Thanks!

I am having the same issue as well. I’ve been commenting on blogs that I follow and usually comment on at least once a week, and my comments have been disappearing – that is when I leave a comment on a blog, it doesn’t show.
I’ve contacted some of the bloggers personally and apparently some of the comments have been going straight to their spam folders, and they have definitely not blocked me.

Hi folks, can you each send a link to a post where you’ve recently commented? We’ll take a look.
Also, if you’re in touch with the bloggers and they say your comments are going to spam, please have them mark them as “not spam” for you.

Here are some blogs which I tried leaving comments on. I’ve contacted these bloggers personally via their contact pages, and as you can see from some of our exchanges, they rescued my comment form their Spam Folder and marked my comments as “Not Spam”:

Earlier today, I tried commenting on other blogs that I have not commented on this week yet, and my comments disappear whenever I hit Reply. There is no “comment is in moderation message”. I am guessing they are still going to the Spam Folders, and will follow up with the bloggers. For instance, I commented on this post a few moments ago and my comment vanished:

All of these bloggers read my blog regularly, and I read their blogs regularly too, and it really is highly unlikely they blocked my comments.

Hi @themabelkwong, it looks like your issue may be fixed — I’ve noticed all of your more recent comments on these sites did not need to be unspammed.
@helenj0303, if you haven’t already asked your friends to un-spam your comments, please go ahead and do that, then send links to the affected sites so I can take a look. Thanks!

On those sites I’ve mentioned, I contacted the blogger and they very kindly unspammed me. Once they did that, I tried commenting on their blog again, and my comment went through immediately.
I tried commenting on another blog earlier (not any of the ones I’ve commented on recently), and it seems my comment has gone to the Spam Folder again. This is the blog, and I will be contacting the blogger shortly (and we both have been following each other’s blogs for a while):

So it looks like the problem has yet to be solved :/

Hi Supernovia – it looks as though the same thing is happening to me. For some reason my comments are going to spam. I’ve had a few bloggers let me know they’ve ‘rescued’ them from the spam folder – is that enough to fix the issue? I’m going to let the others know as well.

Thanks so much for that, Supernovia. The problem still persists for me today. I tried commenting on blogs again today, this time from the WP mobile app and my comment vanished on this post:

I tried commenting on these blogs a few minutes ago and my comments still aren’t showing. No where does it say that my comment is being moderated; when the page refreshes after I hit a comment, I don’t see my comment published, but each time I do see the following URL along these lines:

Exactly, I tried to start a new thread before asking and it didn’t work, when trying to post I received the page with “upgrading”. I’ll try again.

Hi supernovia – thanks for all your help with this. My comments also seem to be fixed now, and the others were retrieved by bloggers from their spam folders. Appreciate your efforts on my behalf – Happy New Year!
