Trouble loading external swfs
-
I have several interactive tours that I would like to have play right on the page. I am using SwfObj plugin to load the main swf and that works. But the external swfs will not load.
I have changed the links within the main Flash to be the File URL.
What do I need to do to get these to work?
Here’s the link to the page:

As you can see the buttons will work but the call function is being blocked.
Please help!
Thanks,

Sorry, you need to head over to the WordPress.org forums as that is where self-hosted wordpress blogs using the software from wordpress.ORG are supported.
These forums are for those hosted here on the wordpress.COM free hosting service and things here work differently.
If you are not familiar with the differences, see this support document.

I cannot help you with that. Flash files like that are stripped out of our blogs for security reasons. If you have an embed code, you can usually use the Gigya Shortcode to change the code and embed it successfully. Just for a file, I’d suggest you upload it to Youtube and then put the youtube in your blog.
Information on the Gigya shortcode can be found at http://wpbtips.wordpress.com

I need to embed a video from the Wall St Journal. Will the VideoPress upgrade allow me to do this? Here is the embed code from WSJ.com:

No, Videopress will allow you to post your own videos, but not use embed codes from other sites.
You will have to see if you can adapt it using the Gigya Shortcode mentioned above.
