trouble logging after moving from wordpress.com to hosted site
-
Hi,
I’m in the process from moving my blog http://www.dermdiaries.com to being hosted by dreamhost. I did the one click installation through dreamhost and was told in an email that the installation was successful. When I try to log into http://dermdiaries.com/wp-login.php I get redirected to http://dermdiaries.wordpress.com/wp-login.php.
Also, when I try to create an admin at http://www.dermdiaries.com/wp-admin/install.php I get an error message.
What am I missing? Thank you for any help. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Your domain’s nameservers are still pointed here. You’ll need to change your domain’s nameservers through your registrar to point to Dreamhost.

I’m sorry I am a true beginner here. Where do I find my registrar? Is it through wordpress.com or dreamhost?

Your registrar is whoever you purchased dermdiaries.com from. All that I can say for sure is that it wasn’t us.

Hi can you help explain how I move my domain’s nameserver through my registrar to Dreamhost? http://www.dermdiaries.com. Maybe there is a tutorial I can view. Thank you so much for your patience!

Try: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/domain-management/
But you must be logged into the account that purchased the domain.

A whois search still shows your domain dermdiaries.com pointing to WordPress.COM
http://www.dnsstuff.com/tools/whois/?tool_id=66&token=&toolhandler_redirect=0&ip=dermdiaries.com
You need to update the nameservers as noted above
