Trouble logging in through hostgator

hello,
I had originally made a profile on wordpress and been allocated a domain name. However, I am trying to build a site through hostgator using wordpress. When I try to login on wordpress after installing it through hostgator it says server not found. Could this be because the domain name is already existing on worpress because I originally registered on wordpress with the same name?
Should I delete my wordpress domain/blog ? Will this solve the problem? However, it says i will not be able to use the same domain name again if i delete it. What does this mean? Will it accept the domain name through hostgator if I delete the worpress one?

What is the exact URL starting with http:// of the site you are referring to please?

The account I had made with wordpress is for chirrupfoods.wordpress.com
And the website I had registered with go daddy is chirrupfoods.com.

It looks like the chirrupfoods.com domain name is not (and has never been) registered with us. In fact, that domain name is not registered with anyone as it is available to be bought right now.
Could you please clarify what you are trying to do here? If you’re needing to install WordPress on your own domain (using chirrupfoods.com or another domain name) then you’ll need to talk with your hosting company about that, but if you’re trying to login to your WordPress.com site then we can assist with that.

We understand you were under the impression this was registered with GoDaddy but unfortunately it doesn’t appear that the order completed. We’ll be reaching out to you in case you’d prefer to register the domain with HostGator but if not, we’ll also provide you with the DNS Nameservers to use in order to point a domain to your HostGator.com account.
