Trouble logging in to my WordPress account

    I am usually not able to log in to my Word Press account, even though the user name and password are correct. I do not get an error message. I got in once recently through my BlueHost account, but when I tried to log in again, it would not work.

    I don’t have a site linked to this WordPress.com account

    I don’t know how to edit my post #3918060 so am posting a new post on it. I did not write “I don’t have a site linked to this WP account, that was an auto fill from WP. I have 7 domain names and 3 sites up under spiritualpoetry.org. hrmgmt.org is not the site I’m working on now. emfportal.org is the site I’m working on, and spiritualpoetry.org is my main site to which all other domain names and sites are linked. I am able to log into my WP account, but NOT my BH WP dashboard. This has been escalated to Level 2 Tech Support, which sent me an email they will get back to me in 24-72 hours. Thank you for any help anyone can offer.

    Hi there!

    To avoid confusion, there are three different “WordPress” at play here:

    1. The free, open-source WordPress software which powers your website.
    2. WordPress.org which is the open-source project that works on the WordPress software and where you can get the software for free to use on your own hosting provider.
    3. WordPress.com which is a managed hosting provider of the WordPress software and with whom you’re contacting now.

    Since your site is not hosted with us, we’re limited in what we can help with and advise. But I can get you pointed in the right direction to get help.

    You should reach back out to Bluehost support as they’re your hosting provider. They also have access to your WordPress site install files and database and are the only ones to help you here.

    Thanks very much, A Bluehost (BH) rep spent about an hour on the phone with me, asking me to do various things, and was not successful, and eventually put me on hold without telling me she was going to, and didn’t get back to me in a long time, so I hung up and called again. The 2nd BH rep (both Philippines) said the first rep had made a basic mistake, apologized, and did the same steps for me without my having to do them (I gave her my PW). She eventually found that a woo-commerce plug in was preventing me from logging in, but when she fixed it, I still couldn’t get in, nor could she. We can get to the home page of my site, but not to the dashboard. So she escalated the issue to Level 2 Technical Support. I got a default email from them saying they would work on it, and get back to me in 24-72 hours. Thank you again very much for your help and those 3 categories of WP.
