trouble making comments

  Regular comenters are reporting that all the sudden (after two and one half years) they are being required to “log in” in order to make a comment. We don’t even know what you mean by “log in”; they have never had to for 2 1/2 years.

  We’ve recently updated our commenting system. Now, if someone tries to comment with an email address that’s attached to a WordPress.com account, they’ll need to sign into WordPress.com before they can comment.

  If commenters have forgotten their password they can request a reset:
  http://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword

  If someone tries to comment with an email that’s not tied to a WordPress.com account, they won’t need to sign up for an account (unless you’ve enabled this option at Settings -> Discussion).
