trouble pasting external links.

When I paste a link to an external page into the editor, it appears as plain text, instead of a clickable link. I used to be able to do this, but it suddenly quit working.

Are you using the Visual Editor? You can read more about the editors at http://en.support.wordpress.com/editors
Do you also encounter this issue in a different browser? for example Firefox or Google Chrome?

I tried using both the visual, and the text editor. I tried it in Chrome, and I tried it on a completely different computer. I tried pasting links into a brand new post. I tried turning off Adblock. I tried turning off my antivirus. I tried enabling popups. I tried allowing all cookies. I tried updating Flash. I tried deleting several historical posts, in case I had exceeded my upload limit.

(I see the link copied here as plain text, as well, making me more convinced the problem is with WordPress, and not anything I am doing. FYI I can paste a link to an email, as well as into the comments section on some web pages, seemingly also verifying that my computer is not the problem.) The link issue started about 3/4 through the previous post, but I was able to finish it by manually creating a link, via the toolbar. While you are looking for problems, perhaps you can also figure out why I can no longer upload pictures. I have been trying to upload for 3 days, but it keeps failing to do so, and I get an error message telling me to try again later.

OK. I seem to be on to something, here. When I pasted the link to the draft I am working on, it appeared as plain text. When I sent the message, though, it appeared as a clickable link. So I went back to the draft, and pasted in a link. Same thing. It appeared as plain text in the draft, but when I saved the draft, and opened the preview, it appeared as a clickable link.

Looks like you have used 3.0 GB of your 3.0 GB upload limit (100%). Since you are close to your limit, you might want to consider purchasing a Space Upgrade.
With the upgrade, you’ll also be able to upload mp3, m4a, wav, and ogg audio files (great for podcasting).

I had considered that, but then I deleted 2 months worth of old posts. Would that not give me more room? Or do they total up, regardless?

You can click on the ’empty trash’ button to completely delete the trashed posts and their attachments from your blog: https://rodneysspace.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_status=trash&post_type=post

OK. It took me a while to figure it out, but I am able to upload images, again. I didn’t read, anywhere, that images must be specifically removed from the media library. I had incorrectly assumed that deleting the post would remove all of the files in it, as well.
