trouble posting anywhere on blogs I follow

with one or two exceptions my only contribution to most blogs is to find my comments never ‘took’. I come back in an hour, and nothing is there. Perhaps they have their security filters set too high and I am banned, for whatever reason. It’s discouraging, and has reduced me to a reader but no longer a poster. The most disheartening thing is, there is never a ‘contact me’ place I can go to, to find out why my posts never show up. Am I doing something wrong?

http://freethoughtblogs.com/brutereason/ –again, hit-or-miss, and over time I’ve learned to be greatful when they show up, like finding an easter egg under a bush…obviously I know how to post a comment, and there are times when I actually see it in print (oboy oboy) but when I return its no longer there. Very frustrating.
Over time there have been others which, for obvious reasons, I gave up on, and apparently removed the URL that went with them. It always feels as if Im posting paper airplanes into the sky, and never know if I’ll see an answer or not.

Neither of those sites are hosted on WordPress.com, so there’s nothing I can do to see if your comments are going through. It’s very possible that for one reason or another, they are not approving your comments, but I cannot verify that for you.
If you have concerns, you may wish to contact the site administrators, if they have contact information available.

Yes, they are WordPress sites, but they are hosted on other services using the free software available from WordPress.org, not on WordPress.com. That means that staff at WordPress.com don’t have any access to their sites to check these things out.
