trouble registering

  After paying, or trying to, for a new blog, I am getting a ‘too many redirects’ message. Clearing cookies did not help.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  When you register a blog with a new custom domain, it can take a little time for the domain to begin working properly everywhere. (This process is called domain propagation.) However, please rest assured that the domain is set up correctly and will begin working for you soon.

  If you continue to have trouble with too many redirects, you can also try flushing your computer’s DNS cache. This should help the domain work properly on your computer.

  Rachel, thanks for your response. I see now that I didn’t explain the problem adequately. Yes, my blog is alive, but where I was blocked by the ‘too many redirects’ was in trying to pay for some extra features, like buying the address davidlidov.com. I have not tried again, yet and do hope the same prices are available as with the initial registration.

  (Also, can I put a pop-up window on a page?)

  Ah, sorry for the confusion! You successfully bought the WordPress.com Premium upgrade and registered the address davidlidov.com for your blog. You can view and manage those upgrades under Store > My Upgrades in your dashboard.

  If you want the domain davidlidov.com to show up in your browser’s address bar when you visit your blog, you can set it as the primary domain under Store > Domains in your dashboard. We have more information about that here: Changing Your Primary Domain

  If you do run into the “too many redirects” message again, you can also try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies. If that doesn’t fix it, please let me know what page you were on and what you clicked on when you got that message. That will help us investigate the issue on our end. :)

  (Also, can I put a pop-up window on a page?)
