Trouble setting up a website

Hi, I’m very new to WordPress, just trying to set up a page for my business, and I’m having major problems.
I’d like to use the Sela theme, but the front page template does not appear, even after following the instructions in the support thread. (rosettamanuscripts.com)
I loaded several testimonials, but first of all, I only see two on the home page (where are the rest?), and second of all, can I move these to the side, change the background color, etc.? What options do I have, and where do I find them?
It would also be nice to understand exactly how to move my pages to the footers, rather than having them up on the headers. But the widgets section doesn’t seem to have any options–they are all geared more towards a blog.
ALSO, even after setting the page order, they still all show up every which way, rather than in the order I put them in. WTF?
I’m pulling my hair out here; every support question seems to assume a level of knowledge on WordPress that I definitely do not have, and here I thought it would be a really simple and intuitive set-up for a beginner.

The Testimonial area displays two testimonials. To add a testimonial, go to Testimonials → Add New in your dashboard. You can change the order in which your testimonials are displayed by using the Order field of the Page Attributes module on the testimonial edit screen. If no testimonials are added, this section will not be displayed.You do not have any free options to do anything at all that is not stated on the detailed theme description page.
