trouble setting up site format

  I am just beginning to understand how to do this thing, and did do the home page and the about page.

  Now I want to set up a list of continents and have them be clicked to links to countries and cities I visited with photos attached.

  How would I make the city Halifax be clicked for photos?
  here does this all go? The top? The side? how? Your help does not explain this step by step. I am a senior and not techy at all!

  Very confused how to do this!

  You go to all your posts about Halifax and you edit them to put them in the category “Halifax” and so on. Then you use the Category widget so people can click to whichever category they want.

  Okay, let me see if I got this right…
  I want to have a category called Europe, with different countries and in each country different ports…
  So..
  I first just make lots of pages of the various ports for each country
  Then I “edit” (HOW?) all of the same ports in one country into a category, which would be the country name.
  And with all the countries the category widget offers choices for viewers to pick from.

  Right? Now I have two pages at the TOP of the page. They are going to be moved when I do this, right?
  Did I get it correct? If yes, then a HUGE thank you!
