  siobhyb, if I understand correctly I have been following to many blogs by e-mail. I have a few questions. How many blogs am I allowed to follow an ? How many blogs am I allowed to follow a day? 99% are followed by e-mail. Do I have a limit before I’m completely blocked and can’t follow anymore blogs.

  Hi Crystal,

  People sometimes follow a large number of sites in a short time solely for the purpose of promoting their own site, rather than out of a genuine interest in the sites they’re following. This isn’t beneficial to the site owners being followed and isn’t behaviour that we wish to encourage. It’s for this reason that our system automatically blocks accounts from following new sites at a certain rate.

  We’re not able to share specific numbers behind that rate. However, if you follow sites that you have a genuine interest in at a reasonable rate, then your account won’t be blocked again.

  siobhyb, What’s a reasonable rate to you and WordPress? I don’t want to be blocked completely. How many would you suggest a day?

  @daisymae2017: The rate is high enough that you won’t hit it if you take the time to review each site’s content before you follow. We can’t share specific numbers with you, however.

  Following one site within an hour is reasonable, yes. :) You won’t hit the limit if you follow at a reasonable rate, at which you have the time to review a site’s content.

  Hi, I was wondering whether the Blask theme has the facility of adding an “e-mail me” or “contact form by e-mail” or something similar to allow communication with readers other than only by comments on blog posts?
