trouble shooting

Is there a problem with wordpress today as I am not able to edit and save my posts. Indicating ‘error’ with any function.

The problem being, I can no longer edit and write any posts. When I save posts, the site notifies me that an unknown error occurred.
I Googled the problem to see if there was troubleshooting and I read that you can go into settings, writing and a button should give you the ability to default back to Classic and that should fix the problem, but no button exists.I really need help so I can continue my blog.
Please advise how I may get my site back up and running again. 🙂

First, please make sure that your browser is up to date: https://browsehappy.com/
If it is not, please try updating your browser or switching to a different browser.
If it is, please do these two things:
1. Try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies.
2. Try with all browser extensions or add-ons temporarily disabled.
Please let us know how each step goes for you, and which browser (and version of) you’re using if you’re still having trouble.

Clearing my browsing data will eliminate my settings, which are a convenience for me. All of my other tabs work fine. I have also tried entering my site through another wordpress tab; even though that (tab-> site) works fine with classic editor, my new site does not work. I believe this all happened as a result of an update the other night. I believe the problem is a result of WORDPRESS changing to block editor. If I can return to Classic. this will solve the problem. Please advise how I can return to Classic or I may have to find another website builder.

Thank you so much. It works!
To give an honest opinion, I found the moving tool bar was an obstruction and I never got used to it. However, it might work for some.Again I really appreciate your attention and quick response.
