trouble uploading picture (i know i know, you tired this question)

hi,i need some help here, i follow step by step the instructions to upload a picture, size is ok, format is ok(jpeg)so far so good,but when i klik ‘send to editor’ nothing happens, probably something i do wrong, any ideas ?

Please assume that we can’t read your mind and give us details. ie Size may be OK but you still didn’t give it to us. :)

What browser and OS are you using?

woW, you ‘re fast,the size is 64kb the format is jpeg browser explorer , windowsxp, what do you mean with filename ?

What’s the name of the file? The reason why I ask is sometimes folks use unallowed characters in their file names like extra periods or spaces or and signs.

front, just frond is the name of the file

No, he means like “frond.jpg” or whatever. The entire technical name of the file.

Still should be fine though if it is frond.jpg. If it’s only frond, that might be an issue.

Hmm….

I’m at a loss. I’ll tag this as modlook and see if we can get Mark in here.

It all works perfectly when I do – but then that is bound to happen.
Is it IE6 you are using?
If you click in the text box, then click Send to Editor what happens?
Does a yellow triangle appear in the browser (look at the bottom left)
Have you another browser you can try?

Dr.mike the entire filename is just frond no ‘jpg’ or other ending, (actually is a cover from music album),, Mark yes you ‘re right,i diden’t notice that, when i click send to editor a small yellow triangle ‘error’ appears at the bottom left of the browser!! any ideas what is wrong here ?

It must have a filetpye.
frond is bad
frond.jpg
frond.jpg
frond.png etc – all of those are good.

hm, mark is seems that ctrl + f5 solves my problem, i upload the pic,now i have another problem (i ask too much?) it place it on the upper left corner of the blog, do you know how i place it where i want?

Mark, if you see this, you might want to add in the “Uploaded files must have a type associated with them” to the FAQ on the subject.

See? Even I leanr stuff around here. :)
