Trouble verifying website for pinterest

  I have the meta tag from pinterest. I put it into the “Pinterest Site Verification” field in Tools and saved it. I have cleared my browser cache, closed browers, waited, even rebooted my laptop. I have double checked that the code matches. Still pinterest says “Ops! Domain Not Found” What else can I do?

  Could you explain what your final goal is, so I can troubleshoot the issue further?

  I do see a working Pinterest widget in your sidebar, and a Pinterest verification code successfully saved in your Tools.

  My goal is for Pinterest “Verify Your Website” to succeed. As I mentioned, it reports “Oops! Domain Not Found” I just tried it again and I get the same error.

  Hi there,

  Thanks for your note. I’ll clarify:

  When you see, “Oops! Domain Not Found” — what are you trying to do? Are you at WordPress.com, or are you at Pinterest, when you see this error. What button have you pushed, or action have you taken, that caused the message to popup?

  Never mind…you are being quite difficult and not reading what I am reporting. I’ll find another way to find a solution.
