Trouble with adding a Audio File

  I recently upgraded to the 1GB space to be able to upload music and videos. I uploaded an Mp3 file , and added in a [audio URL for the file] in that exact format as the FAQ asks me to. When I save the post and try playing the song, I get a “error opening file” message. Am i Missing something here? Please let me know.

  I also tried [audio filename.mp3] and [audio URL to the filename.mp3]. Neither of them work. I need some help here ! Can any of you help me out please?

  Here’s how I do it, don’t know if it will help or not. You might want to first look at my page and see how it turns out on mine to see if this is even what you are trying to do.

  I don’t even really know what you mean by adding an audio url for the file… This is all I do.

  First I go to “write” and create a new post or page OR if I want to add an audio link to an existing page I just go to that page and then click “edit”. Either way you’ll end up with a place for you to type text; the place where you write your post/page.

  Directly under that is a place for “uploading,browse all,videos,slide shows”

  If you have already uploaded the file to your wordpress account then go to “browse all” and find the one you want and double click.

  If you want to upload from your computer just use the regular “browse” find your file..then give it a Title (the title is what you’ll see the link as). I don’t know how Description works (how you see it) so I don’t ever put anything.

  Once the file is ready it should give you three choices: link to “file” “page” or “none”..choose “file” then click “send to editor” Then you should be set!

  Couple things to be mindful of:

  If you want the link to come up in a certain part of your text…just put the curser where you want it in the text box before you hit “send to editor”.

  If you want to upload huge files (around 75MB+), as I’m usually doing, you’ll either have to lower the bit rate of your file OR cut it into two pieces. It seems you can’t upload file much bigger than this.
