TROUBLE WITH APOSTROPHE

    I can’t figure out how to change the header color, wordpress says you can customize the colors and font. NO YOU CAN’t. there is no options here to do that.
    Also, the icon appears in the middle and makes the whole heading huge. I want it over to the side.
    Why isn’t it obvious how to make these changes.
    This is why I can’t have a WordPress website.
    IT JUST IS NOT FRIENDLY ENOUGH.
    CAN’T YOU MAKE THIS WEBSITE MAKING BUSINESS A LITTLE MORE FRIENDLY?
    YOU WOULD HAVE MORE BUSINESS IF YOU DID.
    I HAVE TRIED AND TRIED TO HAVE A WORDPRESS SITE.
    THINGS LIKE THIS STUMP THE AVERAGE NON-TECH PERSON.
    ITS UP TO WORDPRESS WHETHER I HAVE A WORDPRESS SITE OR NOT.
    MAKE IT FRIENDLY ON THE MENUS.
    I DON’T USE HTML AND WHEN I DID, IT DOESN’T ALLOW ME TO PUT HTML IN THE HEADER AREA.

    Hi there, on Apostrophe 2, you can set a background color from the listing at Customize > Colors & Backgrounds, or click the “pick your own color” link and set your own color. You can also click on Palettes and set one of the included custom color palettes. You can also set a background image if you wish. The background color will be outsize of the white area that encloses the content area.

    There is a selection of custom fonts that you can set for Headings and the Base font (non-heading text) to choose from at Customize > Fonts.

    I see that you have created a custom header image with your site title within it, and that is what I would have suggested so that you have control over the color. Some themes have the ability to set a different header text color and some, like Apostrophe 2, do not.

    It looks like you are on your way with things, and please feel free to ask questions on things. We may be able to come up with workarounds for things that the theme doesn’t directly offer.

    Sorry you are having a rough time with things. We are continually working to make WordPress.com easier and add new features.
