Trouble with auto-renewal for Premium plan
-
Hi,
WordPress was supposed to auto-renew the Premium Plan for the site I co-manage, http://www.adozennothing.com, but something was wrong with my partner’s card (probably a new expiration date or security code on a new version of his card). He is unable to access the site until he is home from work later tonight, and so I was trying to use my own card to process the renewal. However, WordPress isn’t allowing me to do so, as I’m not the Plan Owner. Can I either be given access to process the Renewal on my own card, or is there any way to ensure the site won’t be cancelled until my partner can process the renewal tonight?
Thanks,

Hi,
WordPress.com says they charge for renewals one month before the end of the subscription period, to allow time to fix problems like this. Was today the first time the system tried to charge for the renewal? If so, I think you should be ok until your partner can access the site tonight and update credit card details. If you are not logged in as the username that originally paid for the upgrade, there is no way for you to pay for it.

Hi there,
It’s not possible to give you access to another user’s account to renew an upgrade, but I see that plan has already been renewed and is good until 2017.
I can also confirm what @bookgirlmn said – we auto-renew a month in advance so there is room to sort out payment issues, and the plan only expires in November, so there was still enough time to sort this out.
Please let me know if I can help with anything else.
