Trouble with galleries not displaying reliably

    I have multiple photo galleries on this site. The issue I am getting from people is that they go to the gallery pages and the page is black. I have noticed this myself with multiple browsers (Chrome, IE and Firefox).

    If you refresh the page (sometimes once or twice) they will appear.

    It is kind of sporadic but will fail regularly to display. It has been frustrating as I’ve asked people to check out the new launch and most have had issues with the site. The theme is chateau.

    I have a similar problem. A page with a gallery of thumbnails displays fine, but when clicking on one of the thumbnails I get a near-black page, with the wrong image dimly visible in it, but the right title.

    The page in question is here:

    Living Space

    I notice that its address seems to have become ‘gallery’ instead of ‘living space’. It used to work, and it has not been edited since it was working. Is there anything I can do?

    seems not to have gotten into a muddle with its name, but has the same problem with pictures in a gallery. A picture on this page which is *not* in a gallery displays correctly when clicked upon.

    It suddenly occurred to me to try a different browser! Seems Safari copes with the gallery pictures fine, whereas my default browser, Camino, doesn’t.

    Maybe I’m going to have to download Chrome! I went off Safari because of the way it ignored my wishes and usurped the default-browser job, giving me to mistrust it…

    I’ve been going back and forth on what the issue might be in the CSS forum. While I’m not sure what was causing it, things seems to be working for the time being. Been loading the galleries a few times a day on different computers and 3 different browsers and no sign of trouble.

    So I am going to be tentatively marking this resolved.

    Still leery as the whole point to this site is the galleries. If they don’t work right the site has no purpose.
