Trouble with Gallery Settings > Tiled Mosaic

    Hello there,

    I’m trying to use wordpress to display my photos.
    I really want to use the Tiled Mosaic gallery.

    How can make the ‘Tiled Mosaic galleries’ appear correctly (as Tiled Mosaic galleries, not the slider galleries), in both my Recent Projects and my Pages?

    When I use the Tiled Mosaic gallery in ‘Site Pages’, it works beautifully.
    But when I use the same settings to display the Tiled Mosaic gallery in ‘Portfolio’, it displays everything in a slider gallery…

    The images and settings are the same, but the gallery display is different. I use the following settings in both the page and project, in Edit Gallery:
    Link To > Attachment Page
    Random Order > Unchecked
    Size > Thumbnail
    Type > Tiled Mosaic

    I need to use ‘Projects’, because that is the only way to display galleries on my home page:

    (under ‘Recent Projects’).
    Otherwise my portfolio site will appear too plain, and the only samples to view will be from the drop down header menu at the top…

    So with all of that, my question is:
    How can make the ‘Tiled Mosaic galleries’ appear correctly (as Tiled Mosaic galleries, not the slider galleries), in both my Recent Projects and my Pages?

    Hi there,

    The only way to do that is to change themes.

    The gallery automatically being changed into a slideshow on projects is a feature of this theme, the defining feature, in fact. It’s the one thing that makes this theme different from any other :)

    Argent will automatically take the first gallery in your portfolio project and turn it into a full-width carousel.

    There is no way to disable this feature of the theme.

    I’d like to change my theme to one with a carousel. Do they all automatically begin moving as the photos are loaded into the page? It seems like it doesn’t on this user’s wedding photo portfolio. I was left wondering if this is the case bc there are so many photos in one cascade? Please clarify.

    I’m also considering “Photography” by the Theme Factory which is clearly automated. Perhaps it’s functionality is called something other than a “carousel,” as when I do a theme search for carousel it does not come up.
