Trouble with old website
-
I’m trying to help a friend whose previous webmaster has completely disappeared. She had a website and a blog…she hadn’t accessed it in a while. It was a domainname.wordpress.com site, if that makes a difference, that had domainname.com mapped to it. Anyway – she had forgotten her password, but had it reset successfully, but now, while she can access her blog, when we go to the website we get a message that says ‘Oh no! This blog’s domain creeksideequestrian.net expired 351 days ago. Unfortunately, you cannot access this blog from domainname.net any more. This domain name expired on March 6, 2015 and will soon be canceled. Please contact the owners of this website and remind them to renew this domain before it’s too late. They need your help!’ Unfortunately, she doesn’t know how to renew – and since I’ve never used a wordpress.com domain setup, I can’t help her! I don’t know how to renew this…Any advice on how to fix this?

In fact, I can see she needs to contact Account Recovery Staff
This is the relevant username account https://en.forums.wordpress.com/profile/creeksideequestrianEvery WordPress.COM blog has a sole owner. It is the person with the WordPress.COM username account who registered the blog under that username account and a single associated email address, and who is the original Admin of the blogs registered under that username account.
You have to be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard.
The Admin login link is https://creeksideequestrian.wordpress.com/wp-admin/
There is a single email address that can be used on only one username account and not on any others, regardless of how many blogs are registered under that username account.
