Trouble with re-arrangement of main page

  Hi guys,

  I recently wanted to add a sidebar to my main page (theme Baskerville).
  Baskerville Theme Page
  On the template page it says there is a contributors template, which – if I understood correctly – is appliable to all pages and shows a sidebar containing things like search, recent posts etc.

  However, if I change my main page to “customised template” it still doesn’t show. I cannot really find out what is causing the trouble and would highly appreciate any ideas or help!

  Hi @managerista!

  While you can apply the a template to any page on your site, the Posts Page listing all of your blog posts has its own, separate template that gets applied automatically behind the scenes (that’s what gives it that nice grid layout!)

  Baskerville’s homepage isn’t built to support a sidebar, but you can have one on the rest of the site! :)
