Trouble with Treba and sidebar action
-
I am building my wordpress and chose the theme Treba. I cannot figure out how to activate the custom categories in my sidebar. With this theme I needed to customize my categories using a widget(?). In the process, I deleted the original widget. Can I get that back?
Help me:)
LauraThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Just add the categories widget into the sidebar. A category will not show in the widget though until you have at least one published post assigned to it.
-
A note on the widgets. Before you have added any to the sidebar, what you are seeing is a sample set generated by the theme itself. Once you add a widget to the sidebar, the sample set will disappear. You then simply add the widgets that you want and arrange them by drag and drop.

Thank you for getting back to me so quickly. None of this is really making sense to me (I’m such a novice) and I think I erased the original widget to boot. I can’t find it anymore in the Appearances>Widgets menu. I’ll keep working with it.
Thank you

You cannot erase or delete widgets. You can make them inactive, or take them out of the sidebar, but you cannot “delete” them.
Go to appearance > widgets and drag the categories widget from the “available widgets” area over and into the sidebar.

I’d like to delete the wordpress and start from scratch. Is it true that I won’t be able to use the same wordpress title?
-
Do NOT delete the site, yes that is true, and it really isn’t necessary.
Go to appearance widgets and remove all the widgets from the sidebar. Click on the right end of the title bar of the widget and it will open and then click the “remove” button.
