Trouble with Twenty Twenty-One link color
-
Hi, everyone!
I am having a bit of trouble with changing the link color on the Twenty Twenty-One theme, I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong tbh. When I write a post and change the link color to a certain one in the sidebar it changes in the preview and post editor but it won’t show when I visit the blog, there it’s just a very strong dark blue. I have no idea what to do!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Thanks for the reply!
Yes, but I didn’t change the color of those links, I just embedded the addresses and the theme automatically changes their color. My problem is when I manually change the color when I’m writing/editing the post, that’s when the color of the link changes, as can be seen here: https://depoisdashoras.wordpress.com/2021/05/26/teste/

Here’s what I see there: https://d.pr/i/HJCQU6
Please note that if you have visited the link already, your browser may apply a different color, that’s normal.

Hi @depoisdashoras,
I did install same Twenty Twenty-One theme, but as you will see below, theme does not matter here, its Gutenberg Editor (default editor of WordPress.com) changes the color to deep blue.
To solve your issue, you have to use Block Toolbar to change the color, not the Block Settings, see below.
There are two places to change color and they are described in details here: https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/paragraph-block/
For easy reference look onto this image:

I suppose that it is a bug in Gutenberg editor, it does not add the color I need to the link, but sets its default color – dark blue. I will check deeper if something could be done or there is some deeper idea behind that behavior.
But so far you can continue blogging using the color settings in Block Toolbar, hope that helps.

Hi there,
Just for information:
Link color control feature is experimental in Gutenberg as stated here: https://make.wordpress.org/core/2020/06/11/whats-new-in-gutenberg-11-june/Newer themes can use that feature, but it is not ready yet, there are many cases (like this) to solve before it becomes stable.
