trouble with visual way to post

I just switched from a pc to an apple and I can’t seem to post with the visual options like I used to and i don’t know enough about code to do it that way. What happened to the visual options??

here is more info. All i can see in terms of buttons on the post page is:
bi, link, b-quote, /del, /ins, img, /ul, /ol, /li, /code, more, lookup.This is all another language to me – I’m only able to enter text and can’t figure out anything else link making a link or putting in a photo.

What browser are you using? Sounds like what happens when you use safari as it has issues with the javascript the editor is built from. You may want to grab a copy of firefox and try that.
Also make sure the box is checked at the top of Dashboard -> Users -> Yuor profile for teh editor.

is there any advice on how I can add a photo using safari? i get to the upload instruction and then I don’t see any instruction on how to get it into my post. Any help appreciated.

Can you click on EDIT and get the URL of the photo? Then you can put it in just like using an offsite image, when you click IMG or the visual image icon.

thanks raincoaster! I fiddled around a lot and got a photo up! that helped alot!i have to say though, i finally found a reason to use a pc over an apple! so i can use word press!
I tried to make sure my profile is correct as was recommended earlier but this did not change anything as far as the posting controls.
since i am borrowing this computer since my pc is down, I’ll try and stumble through posting, as i can not make any changes to the browser.

Camino works well enough with WordPress, and disembedded uses Seamonkey on a Mac, but if you’re borrowing the computer it’s probably best not to install yet another browser on it.
