Truly Minimal – adding a sidebar

  Hi there,
  I recently set up my blog with the Truly Minimal theme and selected ‘no sidebar’. I’ve decided that I would like a sidebar now, but can’t work out how to get one! I’m sure it’s probably very simple but would appreciate some help – thanks.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  It should be on your dashboard under Appearance->Theme Options.

  Thanks for suggestion, but that option doesn’t show under ‘appearance’ on my dashboard… I have ‘themes’ ‘customize’ ‘widgets’ etc. but not ‘theme options’

  Not in this case Rain!
  
  @Francesspeer It’s here Appearance > Customize > In the right corner, Theme options > Select sidebar.
  You can add any widget of your choice.

  Looks like you should be able to select that in the Customizer as well http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/truly-minimal/

  Thanks hnsaifi, but theme options doesn’t show on the customize menu. I just have ‘snapshots’ ‘custom design’ ‘colors’ ‘header’ ‘bg image’ ‘front’ ‘site title’ and that’s it. No ‘theme options’

  Hnsaifi is right about the Theme Options on Truly Minimal. You’re probably describing what you saw after switching to a different theme.
