Truly Minimal Template – Lost dotted lines?
-
I don’t know how, but the dotted lines that are in featured in gray on the Truly Minimal template have become white on my website. They are originally featured in gray on a white background. Now mine are white and there is no option to change them and they only show up on a colored background.
How do I get the dotted lines to become gray again?
I only see options to change color for the Background, Headings, and Site Title & Links.
I have deselected and reselected the theme multiple times.
I have also contacted the company that designed this theme, and they told me twice they have no idea how to fix it.My website:

I should add that I do not know anything about CSS. I once clicked on it to see what it was and accidentally hit something. I’ve tried reverting back to default settings, but that doesn’t work.

It looks like the border was removed when you chose a custom set of Colors in the Colors panel of the Customizer (https://saraparrilli.wordpress.com/wp-admin/customize.php#colors) Resetting your Colors to the default set should restore the dotted borders.

I wish that was the case, but there actually isn’t an option to change the border in the colors panel. I’ve tried selecting default but that and even deselecting the entire template does not work, alas…

It looks like there’s actually a bug in the Customizer — it didn’t show the dotted borders inside the Customizer when you changed the colors, but it does appear correctly after you reload the Customizer or when you visit your site without the Customizer. I’ll report that to the developers to get fixed, but it looks like your site has its borders back now.
Let me know if there’s anything else I can do for you.

I am having the same issue – when I change my link color, it removes the dotted borders. Is there any way around this? I purchased the Custom Design upgrade in order to be able to change the link colors on my blog, and now it’s causing issues. Any suggestions?

I could reproduce the first part of this, but not the 2nd. The dots disappear for me in testing even if I save link color changes and reload the blog home page. I will follow up on the bug report to see what else I can find out.

Here is a temporary workaround, but I would recommend waiting to find out about the bug report if you can instead.

Hey!
My dotted lines have disappeared as well! But they seemed to do it all by themselves, I haven’t made any customisation/css changes in months! Anyone have any ideas? -
In the mean time, I got them back with the work-around linked above. Thanks designsimply, you’re such a star!

@lauraimurray, awesome! Also, if you run into something like this in the future, please make sure to include a link to the blog you’re working on when you post in the forums (especially if you add on a reply to another thread).
