Truly Minimal Template – Lost dotted lines AGAIN

  Hi,

  I earlier posted the below forum, which is now closed. It was determined there was a bug in Truly Minimal which removed the grey dotted lines that appear in their default version of this template. The lines are missing again. I have not adjusted CSS (and don’t know how to). You can see the dotted lines (in white) if I change the background to a color but not the original gray that the template shows them in.

  Can we get them back to the original grey?

  Just to confirm, I have tried resetting my default colors AND deselecting the Truly Minimal theme.

  I would probably switch back to Truly Minimal if the bug was fixed again. I just tried something else since I didn’t hear back here.

  Hi there – It’s not a bug, but is by design that Truly Minimal loses the dots when the color palette is changed using the Custom Colors feature. This is because the dots are an image with a set gray color, so the color of them doesn’t adjust along with the background color chosen.

  It’s possible to add them back using CSS, though. I think you had already done this but it stopped working? If you want to switch back, I’m happy to take a look.

  Ok, I’ve switched back to Truly Minimal. It would be great to get it fixed to having the dots back.

  Hi Sara – Ok, I added the CSS to put the dots back, but they only show if you have a sidebar. They don’t show on your front page because you’re using the full-width template. If you go to Appearance->Customize->Theme Options and pick a right or left sidebar, you’ll see them there.

  I do see them with the full width between the tabs and the main content, which is what I wanted.
