Truncated Links!

For example, your system always shortens http://www.amazon.com/author/bobbello to http://www.amazon.com and that’s that. It does it on almost ALL links we provide at https://en.gravatar.com/profiles/edit#your-links

We provide support only for sites hosted on WordPress.COM servers. You could be posting to the wrong support forum. To be clear we do not provide support for local installs of WordPress.ORG software, or for WordPress.ORG software installs on paid hosting, linked to WordPress.COM accounts with the Jetpack plugin so they display on the My Sites WordPress.COM account page.
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Excuse me, a screenshot of what? How can you see the ‘truncated links’ in a screenshot? ;-) It’s in my library, anyway. THX

Thanks — Gravatar only supports links to top level domains in My Profile > Websites, which is why http://www.amazon.com/author/bobbello is shortened to http://www.amazon.com — even though the preview image is correct on the editing screen.
As a workaround, the link you have already added to your bio could be made clickable using this HTML:
<a href="http://www.amazon.com/author/bobbello">Amazon - Bobbello</a>Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks for workaround, but it doesn’t work on the Gravatar page. It allows only Link URL and Link Title, no codes. See the new screenshot. THX

PS If you can’t reach it, then look here: https://en.gravatar.com/timeship – scroll all the way down to Website Links and try all links. All except one (WP), do not lead to my pages, but to their main URLs: Amazon, Facebook, CDbaby, etc. That was my question from the very first post of this topic. THX

Hmm. Strange.
I added https://www.amazon.com/Bob-Bello/e/B0032JED90 to my websites section of my own Gravatar section with the label of “Author”.
Now, when I click through that “Author” link I am brought to the correct Amazon author page.
However, if I back out of Gravatar a bit, and use the profile link to see my full profile the Amazon author preview for “Author” link is showing a generic Amazon page, and when I click the link it takes me to the Amazon home page rather than the author page.
I think this is what you’ve been trying to explain to me. Sorry, it took me so long!
If you like, I can try to help you get these custom links set up in the bio section of the profile.
