Truncated URLs and weird redirects in Google Webmasters
-
Good afternoon! Perhaps someone faced a similar situation. Tell me please.
About half a year after switching from the Platinum SEO plugin (at that time it was not updated for a long time) to All In one SEO Pack, pages with redirects started appearing in the Google Webmasters – Coverage panel. URLs are truncated by the number of characters, not full. This was not the case when creating posts
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1TmLrUvHu2DNiJ0YtCkYqJ30mKgp8nLqz/view?usp=sharingIn other webmasters I did not notice this. If you copy such an incomplete url to the redirect check, then there are 3-4 redirects that happen until it reaches the normal url.

I scanned the site in Screaming frog, Site analyzer – there are no such cropped urls anywhere. I have not seen links to truncated url in external links …
In Google Webmaster – Coverage / As found is written on the following URLs:Referring page
Not found
The URL may be known from other sources that are not currently disclosed.https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Y26xO2ls7wD8is_C1m-52L-8TX7lKzEH/view?usp=sharing
If you click Check a page on the site, it is written like this:

Hey there, can you check in the forums for that plugin?
https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/all-in-one-seo-pack/These forums are actually for the sites hosted here at WordPress.com. Our setup is a bit different:
-
I’m not sure what the reason is in this plugin. Can you please tell me which forum to support WordPress sites on a separate hosting?
-
Sure. Here are the forums for the free WordPress software:
https://wordpress.org/support/forums/They have several sub-forums, so I’d recommend the one for the plugin you mentioned, or you could try the developer forums.
-
The plugin support specialist said that this is not because of the plugin, it does not support redirects.
I’ll try to write to the developers forum.
Thank you!
