Try to Delete Website but Can't

Hello,

I’m trying to delete my website http://kalamundamusicacademy.com which I made through wordpress.com.

I have tried the following:
1. My Site
2. Settings
3. Delete Site

This is where it tells me I have “active premium upgrades on your site. Please cancel your upgrades prior to deleting your site.”

I select “manage upgrades” and delete the upgrades. I get a confirmation email and select ‘confirm’ and am taken to a page telling me the upgrades have been deleted.

I try the process again to delete the site and it still comes up with “you have active premium upgrades on your site. Please cancel your upgrades prior to deleting your site.”

So all I want to do is fully delete the website but it won’t let me even though I have deleted those upgrades. Not sure what to do next?

Any assistance would be great!

However your domain mapping & domain registration for http://kalamundamusicacademy.com/ is still active and that is probably the issue – it looks like you have deleted all the content from the site however

Thank’s so much. We actually never had content on this site so I believe all we ever put on it was our logo and that’s it. Hopefully staff will be able to help. Thanks!

I can absolutely help you with that.

Just to clarify, if you want to cancel your domain kalamundamusicacademy.com it can take up to several weeks for our domain registrar to release the domain, and it may not choose to do so. We can’t guarantee that your domain will ever be available to you again once canceled. If you have any intention of using kalamundamusicacademy.com again in the future, I suggest that you do not choose to cancel.

Please confirm that you understand and want to cancel your domain. Once you have done so, I will cancel it and remove the upgrade from your account.

Please let me know if you have further questions or if anything is unclear.

Thanks for your reply.

I was hoping to keep the domain name but delete the actual website/page itself so if people navigate to that domain name nothing would come up if that makes sense?

So, your best bet for that might be to make your site private:

https://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/

Do you have a new website that you want to use your domain with? Or is it just “on hold” for now?

Hello,

Yes our new website is http://www.kalamundamusicacademy.com.au

Is it then possible for when people search this wordpress site http://www.kalamundamusicacademy.com to be re-directed to our new website instead? And this would mean the current page that comes up when searching the .com address would disappear? Thanks!

Thanks for that. I have been advised by our current web host that I would need to go into the website where we registered the domain -http://www.wildwestdomains.com/ and change the servers from there. Is this correct or can I change them as is outlined to me in the link you posted? Thanks!
