If you want your images to be aligned left and the text to be “wrapped” then you click the sixth icon icon on the editor tool bar in the first row. See > http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/image-alignment/
I visited your blog and would like to give you some advice. Please consider not typing your posts in all capital letters. It’s not the correct way to use the English language, and in cyber space it’s considered to be the rude equivalent to SHOUTING into your readers’ faces.

@harrythehandyman: Setting the image alignment to left means that the rest of the content (including another image, if there’s room enough) will wrap around, i.e. show up to the right of the image.
What you’re looking for probably requires some html coding. But the proper solution depends on the actual content as well as your exact intention. “Photos on the left of the page with words beside them” is too vague: photos directly below one another or with text in between? text beside them short or long (a caption or a paragraph)? if a caption, vertically aligned with the center or the bottom of the image or what?
You’d better publish the post so we can see what you’re trying to do.

This is the only published post on the blog http://harrythehandyman.wordpress.com/2010/01/31/power-washing-3/

@tt: Yes – that’s why I suggested he publishes the thing so we can see. But in the meantime I found it:

@harrythehandyman: See? It’s easier for us if you simply paste the URL of the post or page in question.
The easiest solution is to switch your editor to html and paste this after each text chunk:
<br style="clear:both;" />If you’d rather have the text aligned with the middle of each image, you’ll need coding for tables.

I’m using Firefox 3.5.7 and seeing broken code all throughout this entry. :( http://harrythehandyman.wordpress.com/wallpapering-2/
-
That’s because he pasted the code in the visual editor (although I did point out it has to be done in the html editor).
-
Yes that’s what I figured too. Without doubt, learning to blog is quite a HUGE learning curve and he’s coming along okay with your help and support. :)
