Trying It Out

So my business already has a full functional website design through Webflow. With Webflow we design the site, export the code and upload onto our own server. We like having this barrier between the code and the live website b/c mistakes can’t ‘accidentally go live.’ However, we have had some issues with the Webflow’s optimization capability and our website’s mobile capabilities, so we are considering switching to WordPress. However, I don’t want to commit to it. I want to design the website and fool around with it prior to going live on our domain. Is this possible? Is it possible to do our own hosting?

    Hi there,

There are two versions of WordPress: WordPress.com, which is fully hosted, and WordPress.org which is self-hosted on the hosting of your choosing.

For what you say, it sounds you might be looking for the WordPress.org self-hosted solution.

To learn about the difference between the two please see here:

And for help with WordPress.org websites please see here:

    Hope this helps.
