trying out wordpress
-
hi there, i am currently with bigcommerce. and as i grow and increase in sales their fees also increase with no additional benefits. So i was told by a few friends to look into wordpress.
I wanted to know how it all works and what’s the biggest disadvantages.
and if i was happy to proceed, i wanted to know if i could work on my website in the backend and not activate it until its 150% ready, which i will be doing so in my spare time in the evenings, is this possible? if so how do i go about it

Hi,
You can build your new site here and then wait to connect the domain until everything is ready to go.
You can get a free site and the
free featureswith a
.wordpress.comsubdomain. Use a temporary name for your site as an example: sitename.wordpress.comKeep the new site private as to not affect any SEO.

Once you are ready you can choose to transfer or map your domain to WordPress.com
