Trying to access an old blog I stopped using
-
I have been trying (unsuccessfully) to administer an old blog at https://buteblog.wordpress.com/
I don’t have any of the 3 ‘proofs’ (or a mobile phone) described in the ‘Account Recovery’ option as this is a free blog.
When I try password recovery using my email, all that happens is my account for SeSco (at https://secretscotland.wordpress.com/) gets a password reset!
As this is so old, it may be that the email used no longer exists, as I had been dependent on Lycos webmail for many years, until that was closed down some years ago. As this blog was no active, I thought I had no reason to bother to maintain the email.
There’s no point in using this anyway, as having a password reset link sent to a non-existent webmail account is a little pointless.
Although I had to give up this blog some years ago, I wanted it left for nostalgic reasons, but made the mistake of leaving comments active.
This is fine for normal people, but I have spotted the odd spammer take advantage, and would like to be able to clean out this sort of scum.
Are there any further option to be explored to allow me back in to administer this blog?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Please note that the WordPress automated tool has appended a line with the WRONG blog as the one “I need help with” – the correct one is given in my opening post.
