  how do I login to work on my site using the Dashboard

  http://www.wordpress.com then log in then at the bottom of screen hit admin. It will be at the top. Hope that helps. But all you really need to do is log into http://www.wordpress.com

  I hope you don’t mind me adding in,

  You can visit the WP admin dashboard by adding /wp-admin to the end of your site’s URL (e.g.: example.wordpress.com/wp-admin).

  Hi Radium

  Thank you for your response.

  Tried this but to no avail

  The site was built by a Freelancer in india and he done an ‘OK’ job I need though to edit pages and change image slideshows etc

  if you follow this link you will see what I mean :-

  http://roywmacdonald.com/wp-login.php
  user -[redacted]
  password – [redacted]

  If you open a page and try to edit it you will see a whole page of code – and unfortunately to me this is gobbledegook

  Is there a simple solution to this situation – apart from me having to learn code :-(

  It seems you’re in the wrong forum.
  I checked and found that your website is using name servers that aren’t associated with WordPress.com.
