trying to add a link to my post

    I have been following the directions to add a link in my post. I highlight the text then click on the link button in to toolbar. Nothing happens, I don’t get the box allowing me to add the URL. I tried to manually get it to work by using alt + Shift+A again nothing happens.How can I embed a link in my posts
