Trying to add a “Sanoodi” plug in???

  • Unknown's avatar

I am having an issue with embedding a sanoodi map into my new blog. In the post window, I click the HTML tab, and then paste

    “<iframe frameborder=0 scrolling=”no” width=”560″ height=”330″ src=”http://www.sanoodi.com/route/pietervanwinkle/140037/8-turned-22-miler/embed/”></iframe>”

into the editor, press save, but then it just disappears after refreshing!

    Any ideas?

Any ideas? Just one … WordPress.com blogs do not allow scripts that contain Javascript, iframe, Flash and possibly others that are known to compromise security. Your script is clearly in violation of WP.com’s policies.

Oh – that’s a bummer … then i have no way to include this in my blog then? It worked on type pad… thanks for the post!!!

Try the Vodpod widget. That sometimes hosts things that normal WP.com can’t.

Also, without a direct link to your blog we have no way of knowing if you’re in the right forum and our answers apply to you. Please ALWAYS leave a link to your blog, starting with http, or link your blog to your username on your Profile page under “Website”.

isn’t vodpod just for videos? this is for a clickable google map that embeds (like a youtube video) directly into the blog.

it allows people to see a route that I did on my bike. http://www.sanoodi.com

No, Vodpod works for PDFs and all kinds of things including Flash games. Universalgeni has written many threads on its functionality. I have no idea if what you want will work with it, but I know for a fact that it will not be posted at WordPress.com in its present form. You must either make it a static JPEG and post it as an image or you must try something else. Vodpod seems to take virtually anything. Give it a try.

    Hi Pieter
The only way round this problem at the moment is to host your wordpress blog somewhere other than wordpress.com. This allows you to get all the benefits and link your blog to other sources of information such as your routes on Sanoodi.
We have implemented wordpress on the new Sanoodi site (beta due to be released in May) We will be using WordPress for news, developer blog etc.
Wordpress is really straightforward to install if you do have some webspace out there.
