Trying to add in a Yoast SEO pluggin to a client’s website and Yoast said it’s a WordPress issue.

I need to discuss with customer service an issue I’m having adding a yoast SEO pluggin to my client’s WordPress website. I’ve tried multiple times to add the premium SEO plugin to their site and it will not finish the process of adding the plugin for use. I have contacted Yoast and they said it is an issue I need to resolve with WordPress. I would appreciate if someone could please help me out ASAP!
