Trying to add private registration

Hi, I am trying to add private registration on my already purchased domain.
However, I am getting additional charge again for domain registration.It should be just $8 for adding private right? I am getting another $5 added, not sure why!
Can you please check?

Enabling Privacy Later
If you already have a domain on WordPress.com and want to make your registration information private:
Go to the My Domains page.
Click on the Settings button (with the cog icon) for the relevant domain, and then click on Add Private Registration.
Select your payment method, enter your payment information, then click Purchase Private Registration.
Your registration information is now hidden from the public.
Note: If your domain name expires within the next 6 months you will also need to renew the domain registration and mapping in order to make your registration information private. Once you renew the domain with private registration added the privacy will start immediately and the domain will be renewed for another year from its current expiration date.You may have followed the process to get private registration on a new domain.

Thanks. I did follow the same method. I am getting a “add private registration” button in front of the already purchased domain.
But on clicking the clicking the link I see two charges – one for private domain $8 and another for $5 as domain registration!Now sure where the issue is!?

Thanks, I can see the $5 credit. But now while trying to click on purchase I am receiving this error “This domain already exists and cannot be registered.”.
Please help!

Hmmmm, frustrating.
My apologies for the hassle. I have added the privacy on my end. Can you take a look and let me know if everything seems correct?
