trying to build a free site but it’s defaulted to the Premium Plan in the shopping cart
-
Hi folks! I’m in the middle of trying to build a free site on wordpress.com with the Hiver theme. When I go to launch the pages I’ve made so far, they don’t show up online (has ‘Coming Soon’ even when I clear cache) and now I notice I’ve got a Premium Plan in the shopping cart that it won’t let me clear or empty. Any thoughts?

Hi macmanx … thanks for taking the time to respond … much appreciated!
When I go to My Home … a message comes up in the top right of the screen “Your cart is awaiting payment. View your cart”.
When I click on View Your Cart I go to this screen Cart
When I hit “Pick a Payment Method” … it just asks for my credit card details and has a button at the bottom “Pay $120.”
There doesn’t seem to be any attempt to offer a way out of the payment. I was wondering if the Hever Theme automatically requires a Premium Plan because of the premium blocks it offers? I tried changing themes (I think to the 2020 theme) to see if that would get rid of the charge and allow me to publish the site pages, but no.

Thanks so much for that themagicrobot … I didn’t see that trash icon! That was so helpful. Thanks very much.
The only problem I see now is that, when I use that https://wrenguitarworks347343029.wordpress.com/ URL on my phone, there is a menu along the top that seems to allow the viewer into an admin mode that would potentially allow anyone to alter my site.
