Trying to build a free website

  I have several blogs and wanted to create a new one. I decided to try out the AL-created version, but it would not allow me to create a blog post without going with a paid plan.

  So I decided to create my own, which I have done on other occasions. When I click on “Add new site,” then “Create it yourself,” it wants me to create a URL. I would just like to use the WordPress URL, such as “MyNewBlog.wordpress.com.”

  Is this no longer possible, or have things changed so that free blogs can no longer be created?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  By the way, the system added “The blog I need help with is: glsmyth.wordpress.com” – I do not need help with that, I need help creating a free blog.

  Hi there, you’re right that the AI website builder requires a paid upgrade (starting from Personal) in order to launch.

  When you create a new WordPress.com website and get to the domain page, enter the full subdomain URL that you want to register, such as mysite.wordpress.com. After you submit it, look further down the page and you should see the “Start with free” option. It’s usually in a smaller font.
