Trying to buy domain name for another year

I already have a domain name and received an email to renew it, but no link for a site where I can pay for the next year of the domain.

Did you allow the domain to expire? Expired means over, dead, done ie. complete. One cannot renew anything that has expired. Please read Domain Expiration

1. What is the domain URL? Do you want to use the domain URL on another site?
2. What is the underlying .wordpress.com URL?
3. Exactly which username account registered the underlying .wordpress.com blog and purchased the upgrade for it?

If the domain has not expired read on please.
You have to be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard, renew or cancel any upgrades, claim a refund for any qualified upgrades, and disable auto-renew. Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades.
If you are not logged in under the correct username account clear your browser cache https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache and cookies https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-wordpress-com-cookies and then login under the correct username account.
