Trying to cancel a domain mapping upgrade (
-
I’m trying to cancel the renewal of a domain mapping upgrade, but the My Upgrades page doesn’t show a cancel option – it says to contact support, but the only option the support page gives me is posting in the public forums.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

What is the URL of the domain?
Refunds are time limited. WordPress.com provides a 30-day refund on all upgrades except Domain Registrations, Domain Renewals, and Guided Transfers.
Note: It takes from 1 – 2 weeks for the refund to be received.See here:
Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades
http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-upgrades/Dashboard > Store > Billing History
http://en.support.wordpress.com/Billing-History/Provided you are logged in under the same username account that purchased the upgrade, and you are within the allowed time frame for refunds, you can cancel and request a refund from your dashboard > Store > My Upgrades. You can also disable auto-renew there. http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-upgrades/#canceling-upgrades
I tagged this thread for a Staff follow-up as you may want to retain the domain URL and use it elsewhere. Please subscribe to it so you are notified when they respond. To subscribe look in the sidebar of this thread, find the subscribe to topics link and click it.

Hi Tonei,
The domain mapping upgrade for voicesthatpoison.org is owned by a different user on the site. Only the upgrade owner can manage and cancel an upgrade.
That user will need to log in to WordPress.com and head to their My Upgrades to cancel the upgrade. That user can also contact us directly for more help cancelling that upgrade if needed.
Please let me know if you have any questions about that!

Found it, thanks! It would be helpful if the documentation made it clearer that the upgrade has to be cancelled by the account it was created under – I was really confused when I wasn’t seeing the menus referenced in the help documents.

Thanks for that feedback! I’ll take a look at our documentation about upgrades and try to clarify that point.
