Trying to cancel account on behalf of organization

  • Unknown's avatar

I wish to block any further credit card charges for WordPress.com for the organization I work for. It is not known in whose name the account was originally set up. How should I go about this? This issue has gone unresolved for too long. PLEASE respond.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

To further elaborate, a former staff member (we don’t know who), set up a WordPress.com premium domain account that our organization is still being charged $13 annually for. Is there any way to force a cancellation? The blog, hoggblogdotcom.wordpress.com, is no longer needed. Any help would be appreciated.

Disregard what the first message said. The blog we actually need help with is hoggblogdotcom.wordpress.com.

  • Hi there,

We can only cancel an upgrade if requested by the username that owns that upgrade. The site redirect for that site belongs to the username, danieloppenheimer. That person needs to log into their account and then either post here or submit a new support request to cancel the upgrade if they’re not able to cancel it from the Purchases page themselves:

    https://wordpress.com/me/purchases/

If they’ve lost their login information for that account, they can see our account recovery process here:

This is very helpful. Thank you so much!

    Hello again,

When my former colleague (username: danieloppenheimer) attempted to cancel the upgrade, this is the response he received:

Please let me know what additional steps he or I should take. Thank you for all your help.

  • Please ask that user to comment on this thread and then I can help them remove that upgrade.
