Trying to Cancel Recurring Purchase

Hi, I no longer maintain my wordpress site, so I want to cancel the charge that is recurring on my account. I submitted the cancellation request, received an e-mail to click for confirmation, but when I did that I was taken here: https://wordpress.com/purchases/cancel-problem
And I was given a message saying ‘There was a problem cancelling your purchase. Please contact support for more information.’
I would like to cancel this charge, and then Delete Site, but I can’t delete the site without canceling this purchase. So…I’m in loop and it’s a really bad experience. How can I cancel a purchase?

Note: Automattic Inc. https://automattic.com/ owns WordPress.com and other products too likes Akismet and VaultPress, etc. so this could be a charge related to one of them. It’s important to know that each charge is sent to a the registered email address for each username account so if you have more than one username account that could be confusing you.

Thank you. I know what the charge is for, that’s not the question – the question is, why when I go to cancel this charge so I can go and delete my site, do I always get an error message saying “There was a problem canceling your purchase. Please contact support for more information.” ? I have one username, I have never heard of or used the other products you mentioned, so I know specifically what this charge is for, I just want it removed and my account deleted so I’m not charged every January for a product I no longer use.
Is there any forum that outlines what other options you have for cancellation when the site continuously returns an error and won’t process said cancellation? When I search the forums I see similar questions but no solutions.
