Trying to change admin email address

    I’m trying to change the email address to which notices of moderation, etc, are sent. I have successfully done so in the past but cannot get it to happen now. I log into the blog, go to the dashboard, go to options, change the email address, click update options. It gives me the colored bar that says they have been updated but the address goes back to the old address and I never get a confirmation email at either address.

    Any idea what I am doing wrong?

  • Which blog do you need it changed for? Do you want it to be the same email address as the user account?

    Yes, the same as the administrators address.

    But is there a reason why I can’t change it via the online process?

    I didn’t even know that there was a support request process, much less hours for it.

    When I signed up for Word press I made a typo in my email address. Now I am trying to correct my email address.     I’m having the same problem — I need to update the email address so that comments go to the woman who actually owns the site…and I can’t seem to get it to work. Saves, says it was updated, reverts to my email address. And it won’t stop nagging me about some upgrade I don’t want to renew.
