Trying to change default profile email

I’m trying to change my default email address for the admin profile for my WordPress site. When I try, it says that there is a pending change and that I need to check my email to confirm the change. I check the email that I’m changing from and the email that I’m changing to, but there is no confirmation. I’ve looked in my spam folders, and there’s nothing. I’ve also sent a test email to both accounts, and both accounts receive the test email without issue.
Why isn’t WordPress sending out the confirmation email when I’m trying to make a change to my admin profile?

Judging from what you’re describing (/wp-admin/profile.php) it appears that you’re using the self-hosted version of WordPress and you need to seek help at the WordPress.org forums:

Hi, that wasn’t my question. I’m not trying to change my account email address. The problem is that I’m not receiving a confirmation.
I’ll check the other forums.

I’m sorry for misunderstanding your question.
If you’re not receiving the verification email please check the spam/junk folder in your email program to make sure the message was not sent there by mistake.

I don’t see any site under the account you’re using to post to this thread. Can you please let me know your site’s address so I can better troubleshoot your issue?

newlyfitme.com is not connected to WordPress.com. Is it your WordPress or WordPress.com user account that you are inquiring about?

I know that because that’s what fstat said before. It’s .org, as fstat determined earlier. It seems like the support people here don’t read the original post. Is that the case?
Also, the .org forums have been zero help so far. Fstat here seems to want to help, so I keep answering his questions. My original post states what I’m trying to do.
