Trying to change my site logo for my new peace charity – does this work in teh free version? Help pl

  Trying to change the logo on my site, but everytime I click on the button, it doesn’t do anything! (the button that comes up in Themes/Customise – then there is a picture next to the logo which says it is for editing it, but nothing happens when I press it. Do I need to pay for my site to be able to change the logo? I’m just getting started wtih wordpress, but think I like it best now
